When users log out of Appian, they are automatically logged back in without being prompted to enter credentials. How can I configure Appian (using SSO or otherwise) to redirect users to the login page and require authentication after logout?

Not sure I follow. You want a user with SSO to be able to be redirected to the login screen?
You'd have to disable SSO for that.
Disabling SSO entirely is not an option in our case. Instead, I want to ensure that when users log out of Appian, they are redirected to the login screen and required to authenticate again, even with SSO enabled.Could you guide me on how to configure Single Logout (SLO) to ensure that when users log out of Appian, they are redirected to the login page and required to reauthenticate
I'm still not sure if I understand completely.

You can try playing around with the following settings and see if you can achieve the desired result.
Use a default sign-in pageRemember user's IdP selection
