In Portals, we are uploading pdf documents, and extracting the details, showing them to the user for field edits, but when populating the documents in Document Viewer field, it shows
like this below.
The pdf is downloadable , further when we refresh the portal the document is available for preview but not at first.
Does anyone faced this issue and how could we handle this ?

I have seen such issues caused by corporate infrastructure components like proxy servers or firewalls. Which browser is that?
I think there is not much you can do from an Appian perspective.
I have tested this in Edge and Chrome, and issue persists in both browsers.
I've seen this issue before intermittently due to firewall issues, and of course it persists across browsers. You might check with your corporate IT folks and see if they can uncover a block happening and get Appian whitelisted.
Appreciate the insights Stefan Helzle Mike Schmitt
I have tried even outside the corporate network but still the same issue persists.
I have a question for my understanding - since its a cloud based appian environment and the portal also accessible outside the corporate network, would corporate infra or firewall rules still apply in this scenario?
Is there any chance the PDF is of a highly specialized type? Like a LiveCycle PDF with heavily dynamic elements?
No, the PDF is a simple static invoice doc (not dynamic or LiveCycle-based).
