We are facing a weird issue wherein the user is clicking 'Submit' button on the UI Screen and a pop up appears stating 'Task Cannot Be Submitted' - You are not the owner of the task although the process gets completed in the background and all the subsequent steps are performed.
There are no other UI tasks once the user submits on the above screen and rest of the processing is done by the system.
Also, the flow starts with system as one of the swim lane then the flow is routed to user swim lane and task is assigned to the person who initiates the parent process. Once the user submits , the flow is routed back to the system swim lane to complete rest of the process automatically.

In my case, after the UI task, there was a batch process running which was activity chained. Due to a design error, the terminate node was triggered before the batch process can complete. Hence the error message.
