Auto-Save the Form data due to user inactivity or timeout session

Hello,

Due the user inactivity or session timeout, the form data will reset when the user logs back to the same task. I've tried using the escalation but that doesnt save the data because there is nothing getting saved in ACP.

Has someone implemented something like auto-saving the form data just before the session goes to inactive?

I am aware of default "Save Draft" option which will not help us.

Thanks,

Ramesh

  • Hi Ramesh,

Interested to know more about the actual issue and the reason for the session timeout. AFAIK session timeout occurs if the page is idle for more than an hour. Is the session timeout in your server is less than 1 hour. What is the time taken to fill the form by the user?

If the session time out duration is less, i believe the time can be increased. Saving fields can be done only by a Data base transaction. Saving every filed by a DB insert is not a best approach.

Please check on the session timeout duration

    Thanks,
