Timer on Execute Procedure inside A-sync subprocess

Warning message as below , when having a Timer for exception on smart service "Execute Procedure"

node cancel does not have an exit flow. if no flows or events are active after this node completes, the process will be paused by exception.

 

just a warning, but can some one explain what it means and how to fix it. (Appian 18.2)

    Avoid exception timers on tasks that are prone to error or unexpected behavior.  
    An exception timer is not a solution to a problem in a remote system. 
    If your stored procedure times out so frequently that it's an issue, then it's that procedure and how it's used needs to be addressed.

    I suggest you review this post (all the way to the bottom).
    There are a number of details and illustrations therein that describe effective use of exception timers.

    An ideal use for an exception timer is on a user input task that should be completed within a specified time frame.
