Hello,
We have a process that receives emails and updates file names of documents that are attached to the email using the Edit Document Properties smart service. The issue we're seeing, however, is that while files that contain some special characters are initially saved in the document repository, when the model attempts to rename them, we get the error:
Content names cannot be empty or contain any of the following characters: \\ / ; : “ | ? ’ > < *
Is there anything that can be done about this aside? I need to retain the initial file name, but append some additional characters to it.
Thanks,
Dylan...

The Edit Document Properties Smart Service has a validation component that checks against the following characters: \\ / ; : “ | ? ’ > < *]. You can use a dash (-) in the document file name as an alternative symbol. Additionally, since it's a shared component through Appian Forum, you can modify the .jar to allow the use of the above characters.
