Hello. This is my first time creating an application, so please bear with me. I've successfully completed my process model and interface, and the site containing the form I've created is up and running. I want to make it so that when the form is submitted, it is sent (in its completed form) to designated email addresses. I've got the latter part down, but when I submit the form, only the empty form is sent, without the fields filled out. How can I make it so that the fields are filled when the form is submitted? I'm aware of the Send E-Mail and HTML Doc from Template nodes. Thank you.
Best,
Ben

Hello Ben
You need to do process variables to save the data that want to show in the fields.
Take a look of this https://docs.appian.com/suite/help/19.1/Send_Email_Smart_Service.html

Hi, Karina. Thank you for your response. I entered the template into the appropriate field, but nothing came up under "Find in template document." Any ideas? According to the link you sent, after the template is uploaded "the substitution grid is populated with the keys found within the template file." Thanks again
Hi Ben!
Check your HTML template, you need to add the keys between "###" something like ###applicant### and you'll see under "Find in template document" the "applicant" key to do the refer.
Ohhhh, now I get it. It also helps if you do it in notepad. Thank you!
yes, notepad (or preferably an advanced text editor like Notepad++) is essential to this sort of thing. Also in case this helps, you can also inject certain HTML into the replacement fields to further increase formatting in your generated email - line breaks, bold/italic, etc.
Hi, everybody. I figure I'm supposed to enter something into those fields in order to connect them with the information in my form. What am I supposed to enter in the "Replace With" column? According to the walk-through, this means , you "enter the text you wish to replace the substitution key with by entering an expression that results in a text string value enclosed by quotation marks in the expression." Can someone restate this? Thanks
Yes, use the expression editor (to open, click the blue pencil icon on the right side of each key)
Regards.
