Which one is better Cancel Process or Cancelling process using message events

Hi All,

I need to cancel the process where i can do this using send and receive message event , and using cancel process smart service. which one be a better approach and why, if i use cancel process smart service it will not execute the terminate end events is this follows data management as defined ??
