I have a process model with three required parameters, A, B, and C. I have an interface that captures the values for inputs A and B, whereas C is captured in the Process Start Form of the process model.I want to pass A, B from the interface into the process model, and also trigger the process start form so that I may pass the value for input C into the process model, all with the press of a button.
Is there any way I could do this? a!startProcess and a!startProcessLink seem to bypass the process start form for some reason that I don't currently understand.

I'm a littlle unclear what you're describing - it sounds like you're saying you have one interface (inputs A and B), and a whole separate interface for the Process Start Form (which deals with input C). What's your use case that you can't do all of these on the Process Start Form?
i am bulk selecting rows in a grid in one interface, and in the other one i am picking a new value to assign to a certain column of each selected row. under the assumption that these need to be kept separate, is there any way to achieve my goal
I believe it would be pretty easy to do the first one of those on the start form, and the second one on a user input task as the next step after the process has launched. On the other hand, I suspect you could probably do all of this on the same form, unless there are additional reasons why you want them to be on separate forms.
ignoring the context of this problem for a second, I want to start a process model by pressing a button in an interface, and open the process start form. Currently I press the button, the process starts, but the start form does not open.Is there any way I can achieve this?
How are you getting to the initial interface in question? Is it on a record / report, or is it a process start form designated as a tab in a Site, or something else?
You can achieve this via link: a!startProcessLink(processModel: cons!xyz, processParameters:{...})
PM should have a start form. You might have to use images, link fields or rich text instead of button as button doesn't have the link attribute, to define the a!startProcessLink
