Imagine you have a grid showing active task data and the last column says "Reassign to me". If user clicks on it, is there any way to reassign the task (using the task reassignment plug-in) and then take the user to the active task right away?

As far as I've seen, no - it'll take at least 2 clicks for the user, with the second click opening the external task as a dynamic link going to a new window/tab.
