Hi community,
I have a user-input task and in assignment I wrote a rule to query usernames from table. If a task is assigned to a person it should be removed from other user's list. With group it is achievable but I can't go with the option. please help to resolve this

Hi SangeethaBabu, can you please explain a bit more what are you trying to achieve? If a task is assigned to a group of users, it will be accessible to all those users until one of them accepts the task. Once the user accepts the task, that task will be hidden from the other users in that particular group
Pedro Simões I want the same scenario to happen with usernames list. I list usernames in the assignment tab of user-input task . So when user-1 accepts the task the task is still available for user2
SangeethaBabu, a list of usernames will have the same behavior as assigning this task to a group. When a user accepts the task, that task is assigned to that user unless the user has the desire and privilege of reassigning the task to another user. I am not aware of the business case that you are trying to develop but should you not prevent 2 users of working in the same task?
I suggest you check the following link on assignment properties of an user input task. Please also check if you wish to implement some sort of escalation mechanism

Pedro Simões I used the approach you mentioned above. Its working fine now. Thank you so much . I created a task report for my user input task. Now I want to display the report in grid. I created an interface but I don't know how to get my process variable for that particular task id. I want to display the process variables as a column in my interface. Do you have any solution for this?
Hi SangeethaBabu, I suggest you close this thread by marking the answer you used as valid and start a new one clearly explaining what you're trying to do and the problems that you are now facing. I'm sure you'll understand and I truly hope that I can help you in the future in your Appian journey
Thank you Pedro Simões
