I had an exception timer set on my UI Task. Upon expiration of the timer (1 min)

I had an exception timer set on my UI Task. Upon expiration of the timer (1 min) it will trigger a subprocess (SendEmail). Later, I removed that exception flow, but still that subprocess is getting triggered every 1 min. I have checked and republished my process model, but still somehow the subprocess keeps firing. What could be the problem? How do I stop this?...

Just found out something, 1 of the tasks delivered at that point in time is still active and that is what is causing this behavior. But I am not able to complete the task due to some error. How do I kill the task?
