Hi all,
I want to read the exception message in case of an error(the root cause of the error). I should also be able to let the process take a different route when such a thing happens.
This exception message should be sent to system admin. I can use the Send E-mail activity but how to capture the exact error message.
Is there any OOTB Appian function that can help me or how can I achieve this.
Please provide inputs on exception handling. This is urgent....

Hi,
You can configure the Email Receiver (Sending an Email Message to a Process),
set the alert to the specific User where the email is configured,
When Appian send the email , then a process get trigger and you get all the Alert details on the Process Model.
I don;t know its a optimized solution or not, but you can try

Hi Vinay Kumar Rai,
Thanks for your response. Based on my requirement the process we are designing is a synchronous (short-lived) process through which the process initiator is expecting an output. So either in success or failure case an output is expected, and I can't go for a email poller or triggerer as it will make the process asynchronous.

Hi,
thank for the response,
If your process not has User Input task, then you can try timer, after 1 hour if the process is not terminated then you can execute different worlflow
it may suffice your requirement
