Hi,
We have a requirement where we need to send an email with the start process link and as the user clicks on that it will open the first chained user input task in that process.
I have tried adding the above component in the expression editor in the message body but the email does not have the link and showing the attributes of the component.
Thanks,Sanjay Joshi

You cannot start a process from a link in an email.
Why not simply assign a task to that user?
Thanks for your reply.
As we dont want the instance to be active until the user click on the link.
OK. Do you expect that the user does never click that link or it takes a long time until he does?
You can try another approach, provide your site link where the action tab is present. they will have to click once more to start the process
Yeah I agree with this approach - you could have the start form display for your action and then the user would always be able to access the form if you link them to this page. Plus, it will only start the process model once they submit the form, so you won't end up with as many abandoned process models.
Thanks for the responses. For the time being we are using the Link to Site in the email. Wanted to explore on providing the link for start process as we have similar for record link - urlforrecord.
User sometime takes days in accessing the task via the link given in the email and until then the process instance will be active. So approach is to trigger the process as soon the user clicked the view task
I understand, but then you loose control over escalations etc. If it is important that the user completes that task, I would assign it.
Active processes are no problem in general.
