I have a requirement where in interface m showing a field in a grid which is not part of CDT . But when I generate document it can only take fields passed in CDT.so I need to pass this extra field as well in excel . Is there any way I can pass the extra field value to the excel

Hi, you can create database view for this which will have the extra column from other table ,then create a cdt for it. Now using this cdt , export the data
Iam using view but adding that particular column increases the data load and at the front end query is getting timed out. So I used alternative method to get the info for particular column in grid
Could you please tell ,how many columns that view have? And how many rows you have in that view?
