Please make sure whether data is present in the pv! which you using to write into the DB. The error is you are trying to write null data to the DB so the error is poping.
Check the database table columns which does not allow NULL values to be inserted, then check if you are passing NULL value from Appian, if yes, you will keep receiving this error message. You need to make sure that you don't pass NULL value from Appian when it is restricted from database side. Hope this helps.
The best way to handle it is to add a null check before your write to DSE smart service so you can avoid that Smart service if the data is null.
