Hi everyone,
I want to set a start timer for my process model, in which start date time will be provided in advance, and if the given start date time is within work hour (9-6pm Monday to Friday), the process model will send an error message stating it can not proceed during business hours, and the process model will not be run.
I haven't had much experience working with process model, so really appreciated if anyone can give me some guidance :)
Thanks a lot!

Please have a look at this first.
https://docs.appian.com/suite/help/22.4/Start_Event.html#configuring-a-timer-trigger-on-a-start-event
Then you would need to add an XOR to apply your condition and then either send that email or continue.
You can set this in your timer
Every Weekday will execute in the working days and at <what time would you like it to be executed > you can set up the time it start
Also,
using this you can configure the days and time
Thanks Stefan, I have read this document, however the process will be started by an user manually, so that the time is flexible. Thus, I'm seeking the solution for the case that if user runs this process during business hours of week days, process will send an error message and also not run
Thanks for the recommendation, however this is not what I'm looking for :( The process will be started by an user manually, so that the time is flexible. Thus, I'm seeking the solution for the case that if user runs this process during business hours (9am-6pm) of week days (Mon-Fri), process will show an invalidate/ error message and also not run.
IN that case u can use two functions i.e calisworkday() and calisworktime() https://docs.appian.com/suite/help/22.4/Appian_Functions.html in an xor gateway and show another UI to the user if it out of day and time .
Also this can be done on the UI level if it true the user should be able to submit else you can show a validation message
