I am trying to create an excel sheet with the data present in my PV variable, this data is not directly from the SQL database as i have to modify it before writing it to the excel. Can you please tell me which smart service i can use.
Export Data Store Entity to Excel/CSV isn't giving me the desired result as the requirement is to use the data in PV variable not from the DB.
Please help me here.

The old smart services in Excel Tools plugin allowed you to export a CDT, but they have been deprecated for several reasons.
Would it be possible for you to create a staging table with the content of that process variable? Would essentially be a database table where you store the transformed data and then use the OOTB smart service to export it, truncating the data in the table afterwards.

Agree. Export CDT to Excel used to be very useful, however after deprecation of the same, we are only left with this option to insert the data in staging table and then export. By the way stored procedure will be useful here for creating/truncating the staging table.
I Hope Appian will bring back this feature in future releases
