I do not know of a practical way to do that and this would require support by Appian.

As stefan mentioned we don't have this feature available since it have several dependencies over data migration. Contact Appian support for possible options

Hi Naresh , Actually we migrated the application from old verion to new  and used task/ process reports ,now application is send to different env and client migrated the req data to req table and task data to task table in DB, so req is showing correctly on the ui as we are using records for that but task grid is null bcoz we are using reports which will create the task using appian intsance which we cannot import from one env to other this is the issue.

    Hi ,

I believe you are trying to copy the data and process instance in one env to another. As Stefan mentioned you may reach out to Appian Support. Would be good to know why you are trying to copy the data and process instance, this will help the community members to provide better insights or alternate options

  • Hi Richa,
The first question to be asked is: What kind of source environment you are talking about? Is it an Appian Cloud instance or is it a on premise installation? If it is an Appian Cloud instance, that needs Appian support, if on premise, it is possible to achieve it by yourself (I have done this a couple of times).

One important precondition is, the Appian version and even the version of the hotfixes have to be identical regarding the source and the target environment.

If on premise, a full back-up of the environment including the kdb files and some local kafka files are mandatory, of course also the database.

It looks like the target environment already is on a new version and even updated with new business data, so you can't achieve your goal anymore except rolling back the data (you have to upgrade the Source system to the same version as the target system).

If on cloud you need help by Appian support via a support ticket.
