Hello, I'm new to Appian and I'm facing an issue with Exercise 10,
I have completed all the Add New Vehicle process model successfully, except for the cancel condition because as shown below, I couldn't assign a value to the rule input cancel .. even though I have assigned it successfully in the Add New Vehicle Interface.
Please let me know if I can do anything else to fix it.
Thanks in advance!

You will need to create a node-local variable. Just click the + right hand side.
This might help: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fofrLNviRTA
I have tried the + icon to add the value but, it says :
"A variable with the name cancel already exists."
You should be able to click the expression button next to the plus button, and find the cancel process variable in the process variables section on the left. When you select that, it should then insert pv!cancel in the expression editor area.
It worked!! thanks, alotbut when I saved the process and started it doesn't take the value to cancel as true and it keeps going in the other pathdo you have any idea why?
I think your cancel process variable is not of Boolean type and that is also the reason why it didn't populated in the Process Start Form dropdown in above issue.
Can you go to Variables tab in properties and check the type of pv!cancel
Along with what Sanchit suggested, you also want to be sure that the actual button itself in the form is setting true to a rule input named cancel. If you start an interface by using a form template, all that stuff should already be wired up correctly.
Yes i have passed the value in the cancel button as true
it's of type boolean
If you make any changes in the RIs or PVs you need to hit Refresh link as shown in your very first screen shot.
I hit the refresh as you said then saved again and started the process but the issue is still ongoing
Make pv!cancel parameterized and it will solve the issue.
