Regarding task expiry

Is it possible to update the expiry time of an Appian task dynamically every time it is accessed? The initial expiry time should be set to 1 hour when the task is triggered, and the expiry time should reset to 1 hour every time the task screen is accessed?

I expect a smart service kind of a function to update the expiry time of a existing task which can help in the scenario. Your suggestions please.

I think the same, but I want to avoid to start the "guessing-game".

IMHO this feels like a weird use case. In my applications, there are no optional tasks. A task is assigned by some business logic and it needs to completed.

For this kind of optional activities, I would not use Appian tasks for. Why not implement this as a pure UI? Then you can react on the user clicking to see the "task".
