We have migrated our one environment from Appian 7.2 to 7.6 to 7.7 by using same old database used for Appian earlier from version 7.2. We had also faced the issue related to data type during the migration from 7.2 to 7.6 in which support provided script to run command
-> clear-external-type-id.bat false.

Currently we are unable to download the XSDs and not able to publish the CDTs which is not allowing to verify the datastore mappings.
error seen like
The data type could not be saved: null (APNX-2-4047-008).

Any solutions ...

  • Eduardo, thanks for the hint. I was doing some tests on a nested CDT and having issues reimporting my 'working' CDTs. I exported a clean copy of them from a test environment, deleted the bad ones in dev and reimported. After running impact analysis it worked again. Lesson learned, before jacking with CDTs, do a clean export of them by themselves (without models) to a 2nd environment so you can bring them back in if needed.
