Variables passed to sub process are showing in process history tab but in variables tab it is still showing the old value

I have inserted a new value in a database . (Scenario here is I have used a parent process to capture the values and sub process to write into the database.) Then again I update that particular value (Scenario here is I used different process to get all the updated values and used the same sub process to write it to the database). But the updated values are not getting reflected in the variables tab .It is showing the values that I used while inserting  but in Process history tab the values are updated properly. I have mapped the input tabs properly. Can anyone please help me with this scenario.
