I see this happening when corporate mail servers are very strict on checking the validity of incoming email. Also, did you check your spam folder? If there is no error message in Appian, then the problem is outside the Appian scope.
I don't see any mail in SPAM .In dev it is working fine and I'm able to receive the mails but in QA I'm facing this issue.
I guess you are not using the same STMP server en DEV and QA...
How can I verify this.can you please let me know
What kind of environment are you working with? Cloud, on-premise? In general, the SMTP server config is something an admin has to make.
Appian is On-premise .
Then you have to discuss this with your local admins.
I tried changing from custom sender to from processmodel and it started working .Can there be issue with custom sender in appian
Yes and no. No, because when your local email server setup is not correct, your Appian server tries to send email without having the permission to do so for the domain of your company. Then the receiving mail server rejects this email.
The solution is, like I already said, talk to your admins.
It is working only with process model not with process initiator also . Shouldn't it work with process intiator?Appian is cloud
