And follow up question. Since drag and drop is in HTML5 and Microsoft is planning on retiring IE, when can we expect a process modeler in a modern browser?

Hey Daniel, good follow up question!. Microsoft is going to retire IE and ship the new browser with different browser engine. This means, the Process Modeller will be required to work in "Spartan" in the near future and Appian will need to look into it. It also means that the IE specific code tied to the Process Modeller in Appian Platform will need to be discarded/changed. Interseting Possibility. Maybe we can get the Process Modeller to work in all browsers in the future, let's hope.

It happens to me at least once a day, that it doesn't want to open, just sits there empty. Most of the time it's because I have a couple of IE windows open and doing other things. Then I have to close all of them and the modeler will work.

For me it's not just once and close. It's everytime after I reinstalled IE10.

fyi, Microsoft is currently planning on shipping Windows 10 with both IE 11 and the new Spartan browser. The plan is that IE 11 or whatever the implementation of will be nearly identical to the current version in Windows 8.1 and hence fully compatible with corporate applications for backwards support. While I too would love for the Process Modeler to be support in Spartan/Chrome/FF, it probably wouldn't be critical immediately.

While I agree that having full Appian designer support for other browsers would be ideal, the fact that internet explorer is built into the kernel means that every Windows machine has access to IE, and therefore the best use of effort versus accessibility is with only IE support. Until Microsoft changes this, I don't see Appian designer working on any other browsers.
