Does an asynchronous subprocess instance start on the same process execution engine as the parent instance?

Yes. Asynchronous just means that the flow won't wait for it to complete before moving on but it doesn't change the behavior of sub-process instantiation.

Thank you. I have another question. If I am starting new process instances by sending messages to a process model from another process, then all the new instances will get created on different process execution engines, right?
