In Tasks tab of the Tempo, we have an option to sort the tasks in "Newest/Oldest" order. "Newest" is selected by default. If I have changed the order to Oldest, and navigated to some other tab and come back to Tasks tab, the order is again defaulted to "Newest". Is there a way to persist the order that I had selected, when I come back to Tasks tab.

You could try to utilize User Start Pages which was added in 7.8. I believe that would allow you to "start" the user on a specific task report, which could be sorted in the manner that you want. Of course this only works if you are OK with the user starting there.
