We are on Appian 7.8 cloud.

Following is related to previous post I created. forum.appian.com/.../e-148139.

I am creating new post because, I did some research and found out the way to reproduce the issue.

The issue is, even in the process model for any User Input Task if the reassignment privilege is set to "No Privilege", the link "Reassign Task" appears on the Task Form.

The User Input Tasks uses process variables of type User or Group under the Assignment Tab to assign the task. The process variables are populated at the beginning when the process is started. Please see the attachment.

Now, we have created Reassign Utility which uses Reassign Task smart service to reassign the task assignee. And in the process we are also updating the process variables used in the User Input Task assignment.

Let's say initially the task is assigned to "Group_ABC". The process variable used to assign the task holds the "Group_ABC" value. No...

...w, when someone with Basic Users rights see the task form (and accepts it), he/she won't see the Reassign Link. But, as soon as that task is reassigned via Reassign Utility to the "Group_DEF", the same user will start seeing the Reassign Link on the Task Form.
Two things to note here:
1) that the Reassignment should happen to the group other than the originally assigned group.
2) the process variable that holds the new value (Group_DEF) after the Reassignment via utility completes.

Why that would be happening? Can anyone guide me?

@aksharc and @abhinavg Out of interest and also to be aware of the issue, may I please know if this issue mean that 'Reassign task' smart service overrides the option chosen by us in the Re-assignment privileges of the User Input Task at the design time?

I am not sure. Because, when the task is reassign back to the original assignee (accept the task, and then use the "Reassign Task" smart service to reassign it back to original assignee), then the Reassign Link on the task form doesn't show up.
