If I am designing a chained set of forms should I generally select the option to "Delete previously completed/cancelled instances." in Form>Properties>Other tab or would this have unintended side effects.
The reason I ask is that I am seeing multiple instance of some form tasks if a user uses the Previous button a couple of times then proceeds forward again, reporting on these tasks is thereby thrown off by a little. I am using 6.5.3.
Thanks, Dave

  • David,
If these tasks are generally completed once they are assigned (or part of creating a process), then I would go ahead and delete the previously completed instance. One scenario I would be wary of is if they are assigned to the user and there is a bit of time before they action the task. This would also throw of your metrics, as you would be deleting the task where the actual lag occurred.
