Document Generation

Do the Smart Services for Document Generation support tables, lists etc, inside the document template? I cannot think of way of doing this in the word smart service or open office smart service.

We worked on a similar document generation project where we needed to fill the empty tables in a doc. So what we did is, we created a sample template with the empty tables and then set variables in each of the required rows and columns,and finally mapped it with the corresponding process variables in the document generation smart service of our process model.
