@boh That was just to give you an basic idea. If you haven't gone through the link completely I would recommend to have a glance at a high level re what needs to be done. Further it depends on what you want to modify and how you want to modify. For instance, do you want to do it globally or per user? Do you want to make settings in server? Or would you like to get it done via a smart service? If your intention is to modify the email 'template' which you see in notification, then I think it's not recommended by Appian. I heard that a change in .jsp file in server would do the work, but Appian strictly doesn't recommend it as per my knowledge. However you could have a customised implementation of the same behavior.

@boh You can not customize the system default notification mails. but based on the business use case, you can disable e-mail alerts for a specific set of users for the given type of alert and use 'E-Mail' smart service to send customize emails to users.
