When there is a process start from in the sub-process and when the main process model is launched, whether the process start form in the sub-process gets activated or will it get bypassed?

Depends if all the required parameters are supplied. If not, it will get activated to ensure you are passing required parameters.

If the sub process assignment is "Run as whoever started the process" or "Run as whoever designed this process model", then startform in the subprocess is bypassed otherwise it will be act as a user input task.
