Whenever we add a timer in the start node of process model, it starts a process

Whenever we add a timer in the start node of process model, it starts a process instance when we click on "Save and Publish".
Any idea why it happens only for processes where timer is there in Start Node.
Any way to stop to run the process instance while clicking on the option?
Thanks in Advane,
Vipin

On timer event, click on "Show advanced options" and then select New Expression.
Then paste this tostring(cons!YOUR_TIMER_CONSTANT)=tostring(totime(local(now(),timezoneid())))
