Process
Send Alert Smart Service

I realize in Appian 16.3 the Send Alert Smart Service has been deprecated. Since a user input task's escalation options allow sending alerts, will this functionality be affected as well - or will designers still be able to configure alerts through task escalation, and just not be able to use the Send Alert smart service? Or will task escalation be switching to 'email' vs 'alert'?

Good question. I think we are in some king of a transition phase. In 16.3 a lot of old stuff has been deprecated. But some design patterns are not possible any more. We need new features to implement them.

@stefanh791 so as per your suggestions and As per my Understanding 16.3 onwards we do not have any approach to show Alerts under Designer >> Alerts, because Send Email Smart Service will be sending the Email Alerts to the respective Email ID's rather than Designer >> Alerts.
Please Correct me if i am Wrong

True. At least we cannot send an alert from a process. The alerts generated by errors in a process will still be visible.
