i need the connect the process to the external systems through thr rest API?howe this can be possible with Appian?if the data comes from the third party systems the the start event message should start?

Did you have a chance to check web API? When you implement a POST web API you can start a process. When you create a new API in you application there is a wizard for doing exactly this.

You can use webAPI in Appian to start the process model after getting the required data

above URL has detailed example ,you just need to replace a!writeToDataStoreEntity () with a!startProcess() or you can use templates here. and after hitting the generated URL, process will start.
