I am using the site_usage.csv to generate report for business. There is one "Action" tab which contains
View Site Task ReportView Process Task FormSubmit Process Task FormView Site Action Start FormSubmit Site Action Start FormView Site Record ListView Site ReportView Site Record ViewView Site Related Actions ListSite Record List Search
Can anyone translate this to layman terms which business can understand like which one stands as DB "transaction" and which one is "Read-only" OR anything meaningful.

I would presume anything prefixed with "Submit" would be a transaction, and everything else (in your list, prefixed with "View" or suffixed with "Search") would be a read-only activity. Note that even if a Start Form is submitted there's no guarantee that anything actually changed, depending in the process model implementation.
