Is process & task reports the component that requires extensive coding ? Is there a component available to make it easy for moderate techies to create great reports low-code way

These are the SAIL report and yes, it will require coding. Try with drag and drop functionality but in that also, you have to do some coding.

Nope. It does not require intensive coding. It required good configuration tho. If you have good logical skills and a basic understanding of columns, then it should not be very difficult.  When you query a task report, the column names are actually replaced with c0, c1, c2......cN 
 It also queries Drilldown field for every column that are represented as dp0, dp1, dp2.....dpN 
 You will be able to find the column configurations (which cN means which column and same with dp)
