Question

Hello, I am on Appian 7.5. I want to create editable grid which will have data from the database. I had followed the example given in the SAIL Recipes. But, somehow I couldn't get it to work. Either I get the empty table, or I get this error "Interface Definition: Expression evaluation error at function a!dashboardLayout [line 9]:" (Note: I have tried using formLayout as well, with the same error) I am attaching the rule files. Let me know whether I am missing anything!...

To start with you have defined 7 header cells but you only create 6 components in the sub-rule. Also, have a look at your use of a!applyComponents and read the docs on partial evaluation as it's key to what you are trying to achieve. forum.appian.com/.../SAIL_Recipes Yours should look like this: a!applyComponents( function: rule!RowPrototype( items: local!datasubset.data, index: _) array: 1+enumerate(count(local!datasubset.data)) )

The saving will have to be done via process. Each of the examples in the SAIL recipes has a section called "To write your data to process" and how it needs to be setup. Also see forum.appian.com/.../Process_Model_Tutorial
