Is there any limitation in the field itself that allows it to be pasted certain number of characters?

We are on Appian 7.8 Cloud

We have a pickerFieldCustom set up. It behaves weirdly in case we paste the value in that directly instead of typing it in. For example, one of the value it contains is "Non-Financial Document Checking". Now, if I paste that value in the picker field, it will just paste "Non-Financial Docume". Is there any limitation in the field itself that allows it to be pasted certain number of characters?

Below is some more observations we found.
If I paste "Non-Financial Document Checking", it will paste only "Non-Financial Docume", and if I click Ctrl+V again, then it will append N (specifically first character of the string you pasted) in the pasted string. (i.e. it will be "Non-Financial DocumeNNNN", if I hit Ctrl + V 4 times)

If I have pressed Ctrl + V 4 times, and next if I remove the whole text from the picker field and paste the same text ("Non-Financial Document Checking") again, it will paste "Non-Financial Document C" (i.e ...
