Question related to task reassignment visibility

Question

I have a task configured with reassign escalation, from Group A--> B-->C . A task report is build on the same and the report security (viewer group ) is configured to group V (which contains group A,B,C). I observed that in task report -1. All tasks are visible to users of group A,B,C irrespective of task assignment. -2. If the user clicks on the task which is not assigned to that user then the task is in read only format. As per my expectations the task should not visible to the user if its not assigned to him.

If I understand correctly, the situation is you have a report with a viewer group, and all members of the viewer group are able to see the report. To show tasks assigned to each user, you can to use a filter as described here forum.appian.com/.../Adding_Filters_to_Reports.html , based on the logged in user.

While creating a portal report you can save as the existing "Tasks for User" report under the reports tab. While saving as the report you will find a checkbox for "Run this report based on the current user" which would automatically filter out the tasks only with respect to the logged in user.
