Hi there, for all who wants to create free form excel files.

There is an older XML schema called XMLSS that maps excel data to a single XML file. See msdn.microsoft.com/.../aa140066(v=office.10).aspx.

What I did was to create a new Excel sheet, save it as XMLSS (Called "XML-Kalkulationstabelle 2003" in German) and created a process model that creates the same XML enriched with data from some Appian reports. To get the XML into a file I created a simple text file with content "###content###" changed the extension to xls and use this with the node "Text Doc from Template".

The process ends with a simple form for the user to download the generated file...
