Have a client that is experiencing issue with reports downloading different information

Have a client that is experiencing issues with reports downloading different information that what is actually displayed and phantom tasks being included in same reports.

They have worked with their internal IT group since issue is experienced with other apps as well as Appian app. Client's internal IT group believed issue would be resolved with recycling of proxy cache. They recycled proxy cache and issue did not resolve.

Client user working with their IT group received the following from IT and have asked us if the statement below makes sense and if is possible to do with Appian.

"We normally do not clear the cache on the proxy since we have it configured to adhere the websites cache settings. We should contact the vendor and have them change the settings of their webpage to have a timeframe on how long objects should be cached. "

Thank you

It seems extraordinarily unlikely that Appian allows browser caching of dynamic resources. Perhaps this cache tool is applying the caching settings for static resources to the dynamic parts of the site? Is the Appian instance behind a web server? Are they using mod_expires to configure caching?

Is this issue transient? Does the phantom tasks/information correct itself fairly quickly?
