Hi Team,
We are on 7.11 version. I need to design a Process Report ; as per the documentation available in following link
forum.appian.com/.../Process_Reports.html
,we need to click the "New" menu from "Application Designer" and select "Reports" , but for some reason I don't see a "New" menu in "Application Designer". Can anyone help with this issue, if possible please put a screen shot on where I can find this option in "Application Designer"

Are you inside an application and have edit permissions for that application?

Got it Paul, !!! :) ,I overlooked the simple fact that it will be inside an application. Hope I can create a dummy application ,create a process report, save it under "Documents-Some folder" and this report can be used by a PM which belongs to another application. Also can I use the dummy application for packaging and distributing to other environments.

Why use a dummy application? Why not put the process report in the same application as the PM using it? If you don't do that, on export of the application containing the PM you will have a missing precedent

Our deployment mechanism is somewhat different (may be weird), we just have Actions/Corresponding PM in the published main application. Rest all components we package in dummy packages and move across environments.

To answer your question, yes the application it is contained in will not stop it from being used.
