We have used expression rule within portal column definition. But strangely it did not return any result initially. But when we removed all load and with parts from the expression and just kept the other logics it worked perfectly. Although we had to repeat some evaluation in our logic due to the absence of local variables, we went with it since it was not a major overhead.
