creating portal report in 16.2

New process reports are created in Appian Designer.

From an application in the /design interface, you can select to create a new process report. Let me know if you're not sure how to access this.

Hi erickp, added to above there is another way.
Please browse through the following Hierarchy in Designer mode:
Documents Tab>Default Community>System Knowledge Center>System Reports.

Here you will be able to see all kinds of Portal Reports which are stored as documents in respective folders. Each folder contains set of related Reports. Click on (View) instead of clicking on the name of the report document. Then you will be able to see the results of the report and the edit controls as well. So, you can save a copy of it and do the needful according to your requirement.

If you click on the name of the document, it gets automatically downloaded if you are in Chrome and if you are in Internet Explorer it prompts you select an option to open/save/cancel.

Hey Eric, from v7.11 portal reports are termed as process reports. Please go through the link provided by coltonb to create Process Reports.

erickp, Follow the below steps,

1. Create & Save the portal report ( you can follow above comments).
2. In the interface rule, You can get the portal report data by using a!queryProcessAnalytics function.
3. Use this data to display it in grid, use a!gridField.
