Report is taking too long to be generated

I need to pull some data from a report based on several process models, this data is pulled by a dashboard just after the user closes one of the activities within one of the process models, apparently the dashboard is trying to query the report before the report itself is generated (or refreshed), however if I refresh the dashboard page (F5) the info is coming along with no problem, I guess there is a delay of 3 or maybe 5 seconds. Any idea how to handle that behavior?

Solution given by a coworker: create a copy of the report with less columns to show including only the necessary ones. This approach makes the process faster and lighter.

Hi Martin, you can use a parameter to check if the report has been generated or not like true/false. Only if true show the report else show a message stating 'The report is in process'.
