Is it possible to rename the Bot name in Appian RPA and can update the java code on it also?

Yes you can rename the BOT or robotic process, under the bot's Robotic process configuration.
Bot or robotic process has unique identifier called Robotic Process.
In this way ,first your name under General Information and Technical Information will be different. If you tried to change the name under Technical Information then you may face error saying "no repository with that name available" .
And also if you make any changes in methods made in Java code that will not get reflected in workflow..
I tried renaming both in general and technical information. I did not face any error. I think it might be scenario specific.
