Hi All,
I have a scenario where I need to take a screenshot of a webpage and save it into the robotic variable and trigger an Appian Process by giving the document as Input.
Can you please guide me what are the possible methods ?
P.S:
I have tried upload document functionality and triggering the process with document ID as input. But the expectation from business is that BOT has to trigger the Appian Process by providing the document as input.
Please let me know if it is feasible and let me know the steps.
thanks,

Appian Documents and Document IDs are essentially the same, they just point to the location of the Document in the Appian servers. Do you know why it's a business requirement to send the 'Dcoument' to the process model? It might be that the business doesn't understand that the Document variable type doesn't hold the document itself.
Hi Danny, thanks for the explanation. the business does not want the bot to upload the document in Appian KC. instead they would like to return the document as output from the robotic process. Can you please guide me to take a screenshot of the webpage using bot and save it into a variable(type: document).
Variables of type Document always point to a document in an Appian KC. If you want to use Documents within Appian process models then these have to live in some KC. The Upload Document action is currently our only way with Appian RPA to take a screenshot and save it to a variable of type Document
