save into option under Appian Task Designer won't work to list existing variable or click plus sign to create variable

I am using a windows machine and while trying to use the Task Recorder on Appian RPA by following the Tutorial: Get Soccer Stats with RPA, being stored at step: Create Robotic Task: Hover over the headshot for Lionel Messi, click Actions, and select Get attribute...Under Save into, click the plus button to create a new variable to save the values into.  It won't be able to create or search existing variable, because it cannot set variable  type to Text 

as well as cannot search existing variable
