User Interface
[Paging controls] Paging Controls gone to the right side with the 17.1

Hello ,
I'm facing a small but real user interface downside with the 17.1
In the Paging Grid Component, the Paging controls are now on the right side of the grid (they were on the left before).
When my grid is too wide for the screen, a horizontal scrollbar appears, as usual, but now, the Paging Controls aren't visible anymore unless I scroll to the far right of the grid.
My users are lost because they think there is only one page as they don't see the Page Controls.
(the file attached illustrates this better than i do)
Anyone facing the same user feedback ? Did I miss a new parameter ?
Thanks for your help !

We see the same thing. Also, you may notice on your computer there is no scroll, but another user who has different size or not full screen will encounter this issue. So, keeping reports "small" doesn't necessarily solve the problem.
There was a change in 17.1 that moved the location, as you noted:
forum.appian.com/.../Grid_Tutorial.html
docs.appian.com/.../Paging_Grid_Component.html
I don't see a way to change this. Hopefully someone else has....

My testers have been complaining that there's no longer a "last page" arrow. I just noticed at the second link from @christineh that this is now intentional in grids with fewer than 100 items to reduce clutter - which makes sense, except there doesn't seem to have been any warning about this change (and 100 seems like a lot of clicks with a normal batch size of 10, but that may just be me).

Thank you for your answers. I'll wait a little for more answers and create a case about this if no other solution is available.

@chandrasekharg: per my previous comment, you probably need to try with a grid with 100 or more items.

@franois-nicolasp: Please create a support case for this so that they can start working on the hotfix. We are going to upgrade to 17.1 soon and I see that this is going to be an issue for the business users. Thank you!

I don't have 17.1 to check, but can you please confirm how this behaves on a mobile phone or tablet? If its the same, ie you cant page without huge scrolling it;s a hideous issue that will mean we have to resist a 17.1 update.

@chrism967, I just looked at my user profile from forum on the mobile app (iOS). Grids there behave differently. I don't get a count, I get an up/down to page. I do not have to scroll right to see it.
@mschmitt, not just you. We have a lot of reports at 10 or even 5 per page.
Also, the release notes do not call out this change, but you can see it in the video at the 2 min and 2.45 min mark ;-) But agree, it is not called out below the video as a change and this one definitely has an impact to use.
